In a smooth move, we hear the good news following a bad one, that is, Disney Plus increasing the prices while introducing an ad-free bundle that is a huge save to the subscribers. Both streaming platforms recently increased their prices for certain plans, which is not too much of a big blow to users’ wallets.
Starting October 12th, 2023, Disney subscribers can expect a revamped pricing structure. With the basic plan staying the same, there will be changes with the premium plans, giving a more diverse option to the subscribers. Whether you like Disney’s animated classics, original content, family movies, or TV shows, Disney plans to show their continued commitment to delivering the best.
Disney’s standard plan, which offers streaming on up to two devices and HD-quality streaming, will meet a modest price hike. The platform’s continual attempts to improve the user experience and broaden its content offerings are the major factors that lead to this hike.
Additionally, there will be a pricing change for Disney’s streaming package, which includes Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN+. Since its debut, this package has become popular since it gives users access to various original programs, live sports, and family-friendly material. With the new addition to the bundle family, some bundles will be available on Disney in Philippines.
“The strong momentum of our ad-supported plans in the U.S. demonstrates the importance of providing consumers with choice, flexibility, and value,” — Joe Earley, President, Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Hulu, another streaming giant, will also face a significant price hike. With a lot of everything on the platform, from movies to TV shows to documentaries to Live TV, Hulu members can expect a moderate increase in subscription prices as Hulu is also looking forward to bringing more than VIP service to the users.
On the other hand, another member of the Disney bundles, ESPN+, will also adjust its pricing to align with the evolving sports broadcasting industry. The platform has attracted sports enthusiasts from around the world, offering them an extensive lineup of live sporting events, highlights, and interviews.
