Zach Galifianakis involved
Zach Galifianakis has reportedly signed on to play the villain in the next Lego Batman movie. The animated movie was a hit when it first came out in February and raked in $305.2 million at the box office. Zach Galifianakis also recorded the voice of The Joker for the sequel. Unlike previous Joker movies, this one will be animated. Despite its fun, silly, and family-friendly tone, it may not be suitable for younger audiences, but fans will definitely enjoy it regardless.
Among Galifianakis’ current projects, he is working on an ensemble comedy titled Masterminds, which was supposed to hit the theatres this fall. The production company has recently announced that it is going through a bankruptcy filing, but Galifianakis is still involved with the project. Additionally, he just wrapped filming on Fox 2000’s Keeping Up With the Joneses. In addition to Joker 2, Galifianakis is also exec producing the TV show Baskets, which he executive produces with Louis CK.
