Have you ever found it difficult to search for a song when you do not know the name of the song artist name? YouTube came up with this new feature that assists you in finding the songs by simply signing. Read the information below to learn more about this feature.
YouTube has announced a substantial update, introducing novel ways for users to explore and manage their content within the platform. The headline feature of this update is the launch of the song search tool, which empowers users to find songs by simply humming, singing, or playing a melody directly on YouTube.
This functionality closely resembles the concept behind Shazam, as it leverages AI technology to identify and match user inputs to the original recording. Originally spotted during its beta phase in August, the finalized version maintains the same mechanism.
To utilize this feature, users must first activate the voice search option on YouTube. Following this, they can access the song recorder, where they are encouraged to perform the melody for approximately three seconds through their phone’s microphone. Subsequently, relevant official music content related to the provided audio will be displayed on the screen.
It’s important to note that the song search functionality will initially be available exclusively on Android phones, with plans for an imminent rollout in the next few weeks. However, there has been no official word regarding its availability on iOS.
Beyond the captivating song search tool, this update introduces several other enhancements designed to improve the user experience. One of the notable additions is the introduction of the ‘You‘ tab, which amalgamates a user’s account page with the Library tab, providing a comprehensive space for users to manage profile settings, locate downloads, and access previously viewed videos.
This integrated approach is aimed at streamlining the navigation process, eliminating the need for users to toggle between different sections repeatedly.
Furthermore, the YouTube player is equipped with supplementary controls to optimize the viewing experience. For instance, a ‘Stable Volume’ toggle switch will be incorporated on mobile devices, serving to mitigate abrupt changes in volume, particularly beneficial for content with subpar audio mixing.
Another feature, known as the ‘Lock Screen,’ functions as a mechanism to secure the display of a smartphone or tablet, thereby preventing unwelcome interruptions during playback.
Moreover, users can increase the playback speed to 2x instantly by pressing and holding the YouTube player. This ‘Press 2x‘ functionality will be accessible across various platforms, including web, mobile, and tablet devices.
